Spiderweb Security LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Camera Six mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect or have access to any of the following:
- The photos and videos you take
- The rest of your photo library
- Audio recorded in your videos
- Your location
- Your name, email address, contacts, or Apple Account details
- Device identifiers or fingerprints
- Usage analytics or telemetry
Permissions Camera Six asks for
Camera Six only asks for what a camera needs:
- Camera, to show the viewfinder and take photos and videos
- Microphone, to record sound in videos. It is only requested when you switch to Video. If you decline, videos record without sound.
- Add to Photos, to save your captures to your photo library. This is add-only access: Camera Six cannot see, read, or change anything already in your library.
Camera Six never asks for your location, so it does not add location data to your photos. You can change any of these permissions at any time in Settings > Apps > Camera Six.
Everything stays on your device
Photos and videos are processed on your device and saved to your photo library. Camera Six keeps a local copy of your most recent capture in its own app storage so you can review it, and holds on to any capture that could not be saved to Photos so you can retry or share it.
Your preferences (such as the grid, RAW saving, and front camera mirroring) and a record of how many free photos you have used are also stored locally on your device. None of this is uploaded, synced, or transmitted to us, because we have no servers to send it to.
Purchases
Camera Six offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock unlimited photos. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your name, Apple Account, or payment details. The app only checks with the App Store whether the unlock has been purchased, so it can be restored on your devices. For Apple's practices, see Apple's Privacy Policy.
Sharing your captures
When you share a capture, Camera Six hands it to the standard iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there is up to you and the app or service you choose. We are not part of that transfer and never see it.
No accounts required
Camera Six does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the app.
No third-party services
We do not integrate third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, crash reporting tools, or any other services that collect user data. If you have turned on Share With App Developers in your device's Analytics & Improvements settings, Apple may share crash reports and aggregate usage statistics with us. That setting is controlled by you and Apple, not by Camera Six.
Data retention
Because we do not collect data, there is nothing for us to retain. Deleting the app removes its local captures and settings from your device permanently. Photos and videos already saved to your photo library stay there until you delete them.
Children's privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Since our app collects no personal data from any user, there is nothing to collect from children either.
Changes to this policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will post the revised version on this page with a new effective date. If we ever introduce features that change our data practices, we will notify users through the app or the App Store update notes before any changes take effect.
